The reason you started playing football?

My dad loved football and I grew up in an environment where it always on TV. It influenced me to start kicking a ball as young as I can remember.

Best piece of advice given to you?

Even on your bad days, never lose sight of the player you are. Form is temporary, class is permanent.

Greatest moment in your career?

Winning the Sydney derby with the Wanderers after 3 years of the club failing to do so. Was bittersweet that we were the only team to beat them in the season tarnishing their invincible title. Also, can’t overlook matching up again Arsenal, the team I grew up supporting in front of 83,000 fans.

Biggest impact on your career?

My family, very cliché but without their support and guidance I wouldn’t be the professional footballer I am today.

As a youngster, the best advice I can give is to enjoy football as much as you can and express your talents. The rest will follow.
